Clap Attack: Teacher NotesThis is a super fun video to use with kids for a number of reasons. First, it gets them moving and clapping which is so important for kids who might be sitting at a screen all day. Second, it gets kids listening for the different commands and looking for patterns in the music. Most important, it's fun and gets them thinking and moving in new ways! What I share with kids:Look out for the clap attack! It's time to listen in and get your body moving with the Clap Attack from our friends at Koo Koo Kangaroo! Get up out of your seat, get your hands warmed up, and be listening in for the patterns that you need to clap to win the game!

Cosmic Kids Yoga: Teacher NotesIn my classroom we're constantly moving and dancing and exploring the space. This fun series of videos lets kids explore yoga along with a story/narrative. One of my favorites is the Star Wars video, which I'll post below. What I share with kids:Time to get up and move! In music we spend a lot of our time talking about locomotor and nonlocomotor movement. Locomotor is when you move through the space and nonlocomotor is when you move in your own space. In this video you'll get to explore the Star Wars galaxy while moving, stretching, and posing in nonlocomotor ways. Songs from the Sea: Teacher NotesThere are a ton of songs that we learn in first grade that are animal, ocean, or sea themed. For younger grades I think I'm going to ask less of them for proof or evidence that they worked at home. If they view the videos and sing along or just watch to watch, I'm okay with that! What I share with kids:Time for a little fishy fun as we sing along to some of our favorite songs from beneath the deep blue sea! Click on any of the videos below to listen, watch, and sing along!
