Incredibox: Teacher NotesIncredibox is a musical beatbox game and website developed and published by the French company So Far So Good. The concept is simple and consists of drag-and-dropping sound icons on different characters to make them beatbox. The player can find combos to unlock animated bonuses and record mixes to integrate a ranking. When Incredibox first came out it was all free and only web-based. Now there's an app to purchase and only some of the web-based versions are free. No matter, kids still have a super fun time playing, arranging, making adaptations, and creating new music. Getting to Know Band Instruments : Teacher NotesIf we were still in school I'd be coordinating with the middle school teacher to facilitate a visit from the middle school band, give students a chance to try out instruments in an "Instrument petting zoo" and work out instrumen fittings so that kids can figure out what instrument they want to play in band next year. Since I'm stuck at home (and kids are too) I'm looking for other ways to introduce kids to all the instruments and help them choose an instrument to play in middle school.
